ISWA State Elementary Duals

Avon Wrestling Club fielded two of the 16 teams entered in the second annual ISWA Elementary Dual State Championships on Saturday 1/8. Both AWC teams competed well, with Avon Gold going 4-1 on their way to a runner-up finish, and Avon Black going 3-2 and a 5th place finish. Congrats to all members of Avon Wrestling.

Irish Elementary Duals

Avon Wrestling Club competed in the Irish Elementary Duals Sunday 12-4-2011. They defeated Indy Southside Wrestling Club 90-12, defeated host Irish Wrestling Club 58-50, and lost in the Championship match to Mason Ohio 73-36. Next Weekend Coach Luce will take a team to compete at the Perry Elementary Duals and Coach Brewer will be Coaching Team Indiana which will have several wrestlers from AWC.

Bloomington South Elementary Duals

The Avon Wrestling Club traveled to Bloomington Indiana on Sunday to compete in the Deckard Bloomington South Elementary Duals. After 5 hours of solid wrestling AWC came away as Champions.

The AWC coaching staff would like to thank all wrestlers and parents for making the drive and competing in this event. No matches over the Thanksgiving Holiday, AWC takes the mat on Dec. 4 at the Irish Elementary Wrestling Duals.

ISWA Club of the Year
